How it works
Step 1. Tell us about you.
A few questions, about two minutes. It’s how we put you with people you’ll actually enjoy.
Step 2. Pick a date.
Each open date is a coffee, a dinner or a walk. You pick one, and a person puts your group together by hand.
Step 3. Turn up, and take it from there.
Where to meet is emailed a few hours before, and the group chat opens at the same moment. No route from us, no pace, no plan — that part is yours.

Frequently asked questions
“How fit do I need to be?”
There is no route and no pace, so there is nothing to keep up with. A group that decides to walk and talk instead has not done it wrong.
“So who decides what we actually do?”
Your group, standing there, on the day. We choose the people, the meeting point and the time — that is genuinely all of it.
“What if we can’t agree on anything?”
You have all chosen the same thing, so it is a shorter conversation than it sounds. The chat opens before you meet, and most of it gets settled there.
“I don’t know anyone.”
Nobody does. That’s the entire point, and everyone else is in exactly the same position.
“Is this a dating thing?”
No. Meet40 is for friendship. We never match on romance, and we never will.
